George Kyprianou
Curator of Physical & Digital Experiences | Fashion Lecturer & Researcher | Creative Consultant & Strategist
I'm George, an independent consultant, curator, researcher, and lecturer with a multidisciplinary foundation across fashion, design, retail, and media and cultural studies. My passion lies in crafting meaningful, human-centred experiences, both digital and physical, shaped by a deep interest in the intersection of design, technology, and cultural storytelling.
With experience across design, fashion curation, branding, and education, I bring a hybrid approach that blends creativity, critical thinking, and conceptual design. My academic background includes a PhD in progress at the London College of Fashion, titled The Fashion Exhibition as a Rhizomatic Space, which explores how emerging technologies are transforming fashion curation and immersive environments. I also hold an MA in Media & Creative Cultures, and undergraduate/graduate degrees in Architecture from De Montfort University.
Professionally, I’ve taught at institutions including York St John University, UAL, and University of Greenwich, developing courses that combine experiential learning with real-world creative practice. My teaching is rooted in facilitation theory, encouraging students to think critically and create boldly.
Outside of academia, I’ve worked across editorial styling, art direction, and retail leadership with brands like Alexander McQueen, Thom Browne, and Giorgio Armani. I also curate fashion exhibitions that blend physical craftsmanship with digital innovation, reimagining what immersive fashion storytelling can be.
My current work focuses on the evolution of experience design in response to technology and culture, whether through UX, exhibitions, or interdisciplinary collaborations. I’m always open to partnering with creatives, institutions, and brands to push the boundaries of interaction and design.
